“Once upon a time...”

Because I'm a sucker for a story,
And I can almost see
How this one begins.

And you could take the step
They've all taken before,
To cross the bridge the same as I.

But I beg you, for your sake,
Stay on the other side.

Because one day
When you're resting
In the arms of happily ever after,
You'll forget I ever smiled,

And ignorance will be bliss.
