To Kiss the Sea

The sun came down
To kiss the sea,
And send a pink-purple blush
Across the dimming sky.

The ripples of their romance
Came bounding on the waves,
Splashed upon the shore,
And then went back for more.

I wrote poetry in the sand,
And counted myself blessed
To have witnessed such love.
